Why is My HP Printer Connected But Not Printing?

So, in this case, you need to follow a few troubleshooting steps to solve the issue on your computer with ease. 

Reset the Printer – The first thing that you need to do is reset the printer. For that, you have to power down the printer and remove any cables attached to it. Once all the cables are removed, press the power button and hold it for at least 30 seconds to reset the printer. 

This is a hard reset, and then you have to connect the cables and try to print anything by sending the commands. 

Print Queue – It is possible that your commands are not reaching the printer because there are already few commands in the print queue. You have to remove those from the print queue to free up the printer. 

• Open the Control panel and tap on the Devices and Printer option. 

• Then, select the printer and right-click on it and click on the Open Print Queue option. 

• Now, you can see the commands in the queue, remove them, and then try to give a print command to your printer.

Use Troubleshooter – You can use the HP printers Troubleshooting option in the windows 10. Open the control panel and click on the Troubleshooter option and then click on the printer option. 

Now, windows 10 will try to troubleshoot the issues in your printer and try to resolve them. 

Driver software – if your HP printer not printing error is not resolved by troubleshooting option, then you can try reinstalling the driver software on your computer. You need to open the Devices and Printers and uninstall the current drivers. Then you can download the latest drivers and install them on the computer.
